“Wooden house in the Tree” reflects the human basic need of shelter from nature impacts. Starting living in natural shelter (hollows) man created artificial shelter when settling apart from natural possibilities. This is the beginning of villages and cities with millions of stone made buildings now a days. The civil engineering industry is the biggest industry worldwide with the biggest emission of carbondioxide, which is mainly responsible for the climate change. A sustainable alternative replacing concrete and stone is wooden houses. Forests demobilise carbondioxide for a longer period, especially if the wood is used as construction material. The “Wooden house in the Tree” is to be read as a synonym for sustainable living in a natural environment. The placement in a tree makes this more obvious and gives evidence to harmony of man and nature.
